A Registered Dietitian (RD, sometimes RDN) is a licensed healthcare professional with a nutrition science degree, a supervised clinical internship, and a national board exam behind them. That clinical training means they can work with complex conditions (like PMOS, disordered eating, diabetes, GI issues, pregnancy-related needs, menopause and more), interpret labs, and coordinate with your doctors and other healthcare professionals on your team."Nutritionist" and "nutrition coach" aren't protected titles in most states — anyone can use them, credentialed or not.
